Joseph F.W. Des Barres (1722-1824) was a cartographer, who mapped many of the harbours and coastal areas of Nova Scotia in the late 18th century. The five maps in this collection date between 1776 and 1781. They were all purchased to supplement The Sea-Coast of Nova Scotia.
